FEATURED PROJECTS:
In these select projects, Jacqueline, as both lead designer and owner's representative, oversaw two distinct endeavors. The first exemplifies a historic waterfront renovation and addition, seamlessly blending heritage with modernity. The main house underwent a remarkable transformation while preserving its historic facade.

The second project integrated a pool and pool house, harmonizing with the preserved waterfront estate's charm and incorporating Florida vernacular construction techniques. These projects underline Jacqueline's dedication to crafting timeless, functional living spaces that honor their surroundings.

"Jacqueline is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. We began the design of our home with Jackie in 2003. This was our most extensive project that required a special expert touch on creating a period home. She was able to capture our vision and execute it beautifully. Over the years we have continued to work on a broad range of projects with Jackie, with the most recent commercial project in 2018. Jackie is always available and responsive to meet our needs. She has a fine aesthetic sense and is able to design and oversee construction down to the smallest of details.
We unhesitatingly recommend Jackie for projects requiring quality and skillful architectural experience.”

The renovation and addition to the historic waterfront estate involved a comprehensive restoration of the original facade to preserve its character and charm. The addition of a new swimming pool, gardens, roof decks, and loggias enhanced the estate's outdoor living spaces while retaining its original character.

To bring the estate up to current code, the renovation involved updating the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems while preserving the original architecture. The guest house was also restored, bringing it up to modern standards while maintaining its historic charm.

The gardens and hardscape were redesigned to create an elegant outdoor space that complemented the estate's architecture. The landscape design included a variety of plantings, hardscape elements, and water features that were carefully integrated into the property's natural surroundings.

The scope of work was extensive and covered every aspect of the estate's design, from the exterior and site design to the smallest interior details. The interior spaces were carefully restored and updated to provide modern amenities while maintaining the estate's historic character.

In summary, the renovation and addition to the historic waterfront estate was a comprehensive project that carefully balanced the need for modern amenities with the preservation of the estate's original character. The result was a stunning property that seamlessly integrated new design elements with the historic architecture and natural surroundings.

HAZELROTH

"One of the things we immediately discovered that makes Jackie truly unique is the size and scope of her talent. She guided us through the actual design of the addition, through the layout of a new kitchen, through outdoor pool and patio design, through lighting fixtures and crown molding and literally everything in between!"

Suzanne and Jay Hazelroth

The project was designed to honor the original architecture of the home, while also updating it for modern living. The "dog trot" was a key design feature that allowed the addition to seamlessly blend with the original home. This type of architectural feature was common in old Florida homes, where a covered outdoor space was used to connect different parts of the house. In this case, the covered outdoor space was enclosed and transformed into a library-like gallery that now connects the new wing to the original home.
The new wing includes a master bedroom and office, which were designed to be a quiet retreat from the main living spaces of the home. The swimming pool and gardens were designed to be an extension of the indoor living spaces, with plenty of space for outdoor entertaining and relaxation.
The renovation of the original home began with a new kitchen, which was updated to be more functional for modern living while still maintaining the charm of the original architecture. Later, guest bathrooms were renovated to be more modern and luxurious.
Finally, the formal garden was added to the property, which includes a brick folly and a pagoda seating area. This space was designed to be a peaceful oasis for the homeowners, a place to escape and relax in the beauty of nature.
Overall, this architectural project was a beautiful example of how to update an old home while still honoring its original architecture
